    I WAYAN DEDI SARMIKA - HEAD SUSHI CHEF

    Born in Gianyar, Bali, I Wayan Dedi Sarmika began his journey with sushi in 2008. After a decade spent refining his craft in Bali, he continued his culinary career aboard international cruise ships from 2018. In 2023, his journey brought him to Rijeka, where he joined Fukuro. Today, he brings together years of experience, precision and respect for Japanese culinary tradition, creating sushi with a distinctive balance of craftsmanship, freshness and contemporary presentation.

    first time in Rijeka and this place is the only one that left a good impression. very friendly staff, helped with the menu choice. did not have to wait long, drinks were brought immediately, and sushi was ready in 10 minutes. we ordered "hrskava tempura" and "vatrena tuna uramaki". it was very tasty and we will remember the taste for a long time. I recommend this place!

    Amazing food, honestly none of the sushi roles disappoint. Please try the Godzilla, spicy tuna & spicy salmon rolls. The chef is one of the most lovely people we have met during our trip. We sat at the bar and enjoyed an amazing meal.

    The sushi here is really really good! We loved the open bar setup where you can watch the food being prepared. Presentation is on point. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if in Rijeka. My favorite was the Crunchy Tempura Uramaki.

    The food here is very good and fresh. The restaurant is not too big, so we recommend reserving just to be sure you have a spot. We came to eat here multiple times on our vacation in Rijeka. The sushi is the best we ever had and the friendlyness of the staff made the evening even better (especially Putu and Evan). We definitly recommend going here when you’re in Rijeka.

    Always love finding another good sushi spot. This was great, and the fish was great being along the water. We're just passing through but I'd definitely go back. 4.9 stars with lots of reviews makes sense. Black rain, tuna nigiri, Dragonite, dynamite and at a good price.
